Ceramic coating an aircraft is not the same job as coating a car. The chemistry has to be OEM approved, the surface prep has to hold up at 45,000 feet, and the aircraft cannot fly for 24 to 48 hours after application. Get any of that wrong and you have a coating failure at cruise altitude, a delamination claim, and a manufacturer warranty question you did not need to answer. Aircraft ceramic coating is a semi-permanent chemical sealant that bonds to the aircraft's clear coat, creating a durable hydrophobic layer that protects against UV oxidation, chemical staining, bug and bird strikes, and hangar rash. Unlike a wax or polymer sealant that lasts weeks or months, a properly applied ceramic coating on aircraft-grade primer and paint can last from 1 year up to 5 years depending on the product warranty.
For private aviation specifically, ceramic coating provides three practical benefits: it reduces cleaning time between flights, it preserves paint value at resale, and it protects the finish from the specific contaminants aircraft face (jet exhaust residue, deicing fluid, hydraulic fluid, brake dust).

Scope noteCoating application is priced per aircraft class. Larger airframes require more product, more application time, and additional labor. A written scope is confirmed before the job begins.

Our team walks the aircraft with your pilot or ground crew to identify existing paint issues, previous coatings, and any surface damage that needs attention before coating.

The aircraft receives a full wash, iron and chemical decontamination, and machine polish appropriate to the paint condition. For older aircraft with heavier oxidation, a cut and polish is required. Newer aircraft with sound clear coat typically need only a one step polish.

The chosen ceramic coating is applied to the fuselage, wings, and tail surfaces using OEM-approved techniques. Application happens indoors in a controlled environment whenever possible.

The coating requires 24 to 48 hours of curing time during which the aircraft cannot be flown, wet-washed, or exposed to precipitation. We inspect the coating post-cure and document the finished result.

24 to 48 hours minimum, depending on the coating chosen and ambient conditions. During this window the aircraft cannot fly, be wet-washed, or exposed to precipitation. This is non-negotiable. Flying too early causes coating adhesion failure and voids the warranty.
It depends. Sound paint with minor imperfections is a good candidate after polish and prep. Aircraft with active clear coat failure, delamination, or heavy oxidation may need paint correction first, or in some cases, a repaint before coating is possible. We inspect and advise during the quote process.
We only use ceramic coating products approved by the original equipment manufacturer of the aircraft we are servicing. Approval status varies by airframe manufacturer and coating brand. This is confirmed during the quote conversation.
The warranty period reflects the coating chemistry's expected durability under normal aircraft usage. Longer warranty coatings require more meticulous prep, more product, and more application time, and they cost more up front. Owners who want maximum time between coatings choose the 5 year tier; owners who prefer annual refresh cycles choose 1 or 2 year products.
